What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the quality of being present and fully engaged with whatever we’re doing at the moment — free from distraction or judgment, and aware of our thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them.
Mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, and it can be more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis.
We can practice mindfulness by using our bodies 5 senses to anchor us into the present moment.
So we can practice whenever we raise our awareness and intentionally use our senses of sight, smell, taste, hearing and physical touch.
Whenever you bring awareness to what you’re directly experiencing via your senses, or to your state of mind via your thoughts and emotions, you’re being mindful.
